Manhattan Beach

ABOUT Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach has stunning beaches and easy access to freeways for commuters traveling to LA, Orange County or Santa Monica. The close proximity to LAX makes Manhattan Beach homes highly sought after for professionals who travel a lot. Distinct and varied neighborhoods throughout Manhattan Beach range from a traditional beach vibe to a more urban feel.

Sand - Manhattan

THE SAND SECTION

The Sand Section has the most beachy feel and eclectic style of homes stretching along the coastline. Homeowners take pleasure in a short walk or bike ride to the beach where they enjoy lazy days on the sand, volleyball, surfing, and easy bike access to the strand leading north to Marina Del Rey and south to Redondo Beach.

This property dense area has smaller lots and higher prices. Parking can be difficult, and there are more apartments and rentals in the area. A pocket neighborhood in the Sand Section boasts a walking street area with a unique vibe. The homes in this adorable community have front yard patios and are free from driving or parked cars. It has a great neighborhood feel with families hanging out in their front patio and children safely playing along the walking street. Residents in the Sand Section live the quintessential California dream, happily trading smaller lots sizes and higher prices for easy access to the beaches and the short distance to the pier for boutique shopping and fine dining.

The Tree Section of Manhattan Beach is for the homeowner who wants to be close to the beach and enjoys lush, green landscape with tree-lined streets. Homes in this area tend to be larger, have front yard appeal and still include a small backyard for outdoor entertaining and living. Residents are a healthy walk, bike ride or short drive to downtown Manhattan Beach and the beach. The hill section

For the homeowner who wants a larger home on a large lot with views of the ocean or city, the Hill Section of Manhattan Beach is the choice. Classic beach cottages and beachy vibes are replaced with large homes, mansions, yards and more parking. Still west of Pacific Coast Hwy, residents are a short drive, bike ride or long walk from the pier or beach. Many locals can be found strolling along the tree-filled walking strip through Valley and Ardmore.

Hill Section

EAST MANHATTAN BEACH

The area east of Pacific Coast Hwy includes Manhattan Heights/Liberty Village and the Village. There is a range of beach cottages, a gated community, and large, new construction homes. Some sections of the area offer a view of the city lights. This quiet, family oriented neighborhood offers an easier commute to the 105 and 405 freeways with convenient access to major roads such as Aviation and Pacific Coast Hwy. One major draw for residents is Polliwog Park where you can find locals enjoying summer concerts, picnics, afternoon/evening strolls, and workouts, and playtime with family.
